There it is: my approach to parenting in a nutshell (and with a question mark).
When Pontus is cranky, things aren't going well and I don't get anything done I do not check my parenting handbook. I simply close my eyes and ask myself "What would Caroline Ingalls do?". She did, after all, live out in the middle of nowhere (in a little house on the prairie you could say), raised several children, took care of the household, helped out on the field and took on extra work whenever necessary. Compared to that, how can I have trouble starting a machine of laundry and keeping my one child happy at the same time. It really puts things in perspective - you should all try it some time.
