Sympathy for others

I had taken some personality tests on this page and was talking to my husband about the results:

I: "It examined five personality traits and then rated you on each of them..."
He (mildly interested): "Mhm..."
I: "I had a lot of average scores, except for one part where I got a lower score. It was the part about sympathy. I mean sympathy for others. It didn't say "sympathy for others" though - there's a word for it..."
He: "Compassion?"
I: "Yes! Exactly! Compassion!"

Apparently I do not only (supposedly) lack it, but I don't even have a word for it. How sad is that?
